What can we take? Please refer to the attached list below.
When do we take what? We accept Fall and Winter items starting in August. Spring and Summer items are accepted in February.
Would you buy it? Asking yourself if you would buy the item(s) you are consigning, is a good rule of thumb. Items should be in “like-new” condition. Clothing should be clean and pressed; free of stains, odors or fading; newer than 3 years old; and of good quality. Toys, gear and equipment should be clean, in perfect working order with all pieces, components and batteries, etc. Strollers must be newer than 4 years old and in great shape. Please note that even though your items may fit these guidelines, we won’t always be able to accept them. Current customer preferences and display capacity factor significantly into any and all decisions. In consideration of our staff and customers with allergies, we cannot process bags/bins, nor will we accept clothing items, with pet hair on them.
How should you bring it in? Consignors may bring in items in whatever container works for you. Feel free to bring in pressed or dry-cleaned garments on hangers, but we will switch them out with our own. A manager will review your items quickly and determine what can be accepted for sale. Your items will be entered into a digital inventory for your review. Upon more careful consideration and pricing, ATR may not be able to accept some of your items. Items later determined to be unsellable due to defect, stains, marks, etc. will be disposed of upon discovery so please be sure to check and double check your items prior to bringing them in.
How much great stuff can we take? We are fortunate to have an abundance of wonderful consignors, but unfortunately have a limited amount of space. Consignors are strictly limited to 30 items for review and initial intake so please be sure to bring your very best.
How long will it be displayed? Items will be displayed for 90 days. The final pick up date will be indicated in each consignor's digital inventory for review at any time. Consignors are responsible for monitoring this period and making arrangements to retrieve any unsold items prior to the 90th day. A copy of all available items will be provided to the consignor upon request so they may retrieve their items from the display floor. Items cannot be retrieved after converting to store property.
What is it worth? In general, most clothing items will resell for 30-40% of the retail value of the item depending on demand for the particular style, brand, etc. The consignor will receive 40% of the sale price if they prefer cash/check or 6o% in store credit. As of February 2015 - Clothing, shoes, accessories & toys will be automatically discounted by 20% after 30 days and 40% after 60 days of display.
Please call ahead for an appointment.
